AsdoMAR belongs to Generale Conserve, a Genoese firm that began by selling Portuguese-packed tuna and later bought the failing Olbia works, the old Palmera plant, reopening it as its own Sardinian cannery. The company sold off Manzotin and De Rica in 2016 and 2017 to concentrate on fish, and all its raw material is Friend of the Sea certified. Mackerel and salmon are packed at Vila do Conde in northern Portugal.
