Valflor
Valflor was a brand of the Fábrica Nacional de Conservas in Setúbal, and was revived by José Nero, whose father Amadeu Rodrigues Nero owned that factory. Nero's claim for it is narrow and specific: the olive oil comes from the Olival da Risca, farmed biodynamically with the harvest timed to lunar phases, which he states makes Valflor the only cannery working with biodynamic oil. The tins are now packed under contract by Faropeixe in Olhão, on the Algarve rather than the Sado.
