Four generations of the Recca family producing anchovies in Sciacca, the principal anchovy port on Sicily's southern coast. The Mediterranean anchovies are salt-cured and packed in olive oil following methods the family has maintained across all four generations. One of the most widely distributed Italian anchovy brands in the United States, introduced to the American market in the 1980s through the specialty Italian food import trade.
