Pumpui

The domestic Thai market brand of Kuang Pei San Food Products, founded 1 November 1979 in Thailand. Pumpui, meaning chubby or plump in Thai and evoking the fullness of a well-fed fish, was launched alongside the export-facing Smiling Fish brand from day one. Products include sardines and mackerel in tomato sauce, baby clams, cockles, and catfish. The cheerful fish logo and distinctive orange and pink packaging have made Pumpui a well-known presence in Thai supermarkets for over four decades.
