Founded in 1978 by a fourth-generation fishing family on the west coast of Canada and based in Delta, British Columbia. Products are processed by St. Jean's Cannery and Smokehouse in Nanaimo. The range covers Pacific albacore tuna, sockeye and pink salmon, Pacific sardines, and skipjack tuna sourced from the Maldives. All salmon and tuna products carry Marine Stewardship Council certification. Raincoast was the first Canadian packaged retail seafood company to be endorsed by Ocean Wise as an environmentally responsible seafood choice. Every product can be traced to the specific vessel, captain, harvest method, area of capture, and trip dates using the production code printed on the can.
