Founded in 1921 by Polish immigrant Isaac Epstein in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Season Brand is one of the longest-running canned sardine brands in the United States. For over a century it has been a household staple, with multiple generations of American families growing up on its sardines. Acquired by Moroccan industrial group Mutandis in 2021, which also owns the Josiane and Marine canned fish brands and sources primarily from Morocco. Products carry Friend of the Sea and Marine Stewardship Council certifications and OU Pareve kosher certification. Distributed nationally through Costco, Walmart, and similar mass-market retailers.
