Vasco da Gama

A Portuguese canned seafood brand owned by Grupo Freitasmar and marketed as a showcase of the best of Portugal's conservas tradition. The brand takes its name from the explorer, evoking the country's long relationship with the sea and the age of discoveries. Physical production is handled by COFISA, a cannery in Figueira da Foz acquired by Freitasmar in 2004. Products cover sardines, tuna, mackerel, squid, octopus, and cockles, distributed across Portugal and exported to more than fifteen countries including the United States, Australia, and markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
