A fish cannery founded in 1905 in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, one of Japan's most prolific fishing ports. Best known for its Mackerel Curry, a product with over twenty-five years of devoted following, the cannery also produces canned sardines, Pacific saury, and bluefin tuna. Choshi's port consistently records the largest fish catch in Japan. Shida Kanzume sources its fish directly from the port and processes it on site. Products are sold online and through retailers and souvenir shops throughout the Choshi region.
