Named after a small village in Cap Bon, Tunisia, where bluefin tuna fishing has been practiced since antiquity and where one of the first sardine and tuna canning factories in Tunisia was established in 1826. The current company took over the state-regulated factory as part of a privatization strategy and has transformed it into one of the leading canned tuna and sardine producers in the Mediterranean basin. Constituted by a stable family shareholding, the company produces sardines, tuna, and anchovies using Tunisian olive oil, and exports across Europe and the Middle East.
