La Preferida

A Chicago-based Mexican food brand founded in 1949 by Henry Alphonse Steinbarth, now in its fourth generation of family ownership. Originally known for producing the first packaged chorizo in Chicago, La Preferida has expanded to over 250 products serving the Latin food market, including canned beans, peppers, salsas, olive oil, seasonings, and canned fish. Distributed through supermarkets across the United States serving Mexican and Latin communities.
