La Lola is a heritage label of Conservas Cerqueira, the Vigo cannery founded in 1890 by João Baptista Cerqueira and still working from its original site beside the sea. The trademark dates to 1927, one of four own brands the house runs alongside its export-facing Pay Pay line. Cerqueira canned sardines first, then took on mussels and shellfish after acquiring a Ribeira plant in the 1940s, and today packs tuna, cephalopods, and sardines across Vigo and a newer Rianxo facility.
