The brand is named after the Asturian cape where the Atlantic meets the Bay of Biscay, but the cannery has been in Vilaboa, Pontevedra, since 1898, deep in the Galician rías. Now part of Connorsa, one of the larger Galician producers, with a Galicia Calidade seal and IFS and BRC certifications. The cockles carry the Berberecho de Noia protected designation.
