Marmara

The Sea of Marmara and Dardanelles region of northwestern Turkey, centred on Çanakkale, a major hub for the country's tuna and pelagic processing. The migratory routes through the straits between the Black Sea and the Aegean make these waters exceptionally rich. Dardanel, named for the Dardanelles, is Turkey's leading canned-tuna producer, alongside Kemal Kukrer and Kerevitaş, packing tuna, anchovies, and other species.
