Dorset

A stretch of England's south coast that became the unlikely home of the country's tinned-fish renaissance. Sea Sisters opened a craft cannery in Bridport in West Dorset in 2022, the first fish cannery in England since the 1940s, hand-packing British-landed fish in the European conservas tradition. Sourcing from British boats and treating local seafood with care, it helped spark a wider revival. Mackerel, sardines, and other British species define the Dorset pack.
