Founded in December 2020 by Becca Millstein and Caroline Goldfarb in Los Angeles, during the pandemic. Millstein had been introduced to conservas culture while studying abroad in Spain at Brown University. The brand name reclaims a historically derogatory term. Illustrator Danny Miller's maximalist, colour-forward packaging was developed before sourcing was finalised. Millstein appeared on Shark Tank Season 15 and secured investment from Lori Greiner and Candace Nelson. Cannery partners in Washington State, Spain, Denmark, and Scotland.
