A family-owned importer founded in 1976, MW Polar began with a single item: canned white crabmeat from Thailand, the first Thai seafood product imported to North America. From that single SKU the company built a broad canned seafood range spanning sardines sourced from Latvia, kipper snacks and herring produced in Germany, albacore tuna, oysters, mussels, and salmon. The brisling sardines are wild caught in the Baltic Sea and hand-packed. The herring line is produced in a green-certified German cannery using fish from the Norwegian Sea.
