Sæby

Sæby Fiske-Industri was established in 1947 on Sæby harbour in North Jutland and has been owned by the Vanggaard family since Christian Vanggaard took it over in 1949. It moved to its Gyldendalsvej plant in 1982 and cans only mackerel: around 35 variants across four Scomber and Trachurus species, sold under the SÆBY and NORD marks and as private label. The fish are skinned with hot water and steam rather than chemicals.
