Kaneta Two-One traces to 1953, when the business began peddling nori along the Sanriku coast; today it operates from Sendai with production sites across Japan. Alongside nori and seafood delicacies, its grilled salted saba comes flaked and shelf-stable in jars and packs, a rice companion built on the mackerel of northern Honshu. The company was incorporated under its current name in 2000.
