Conservas Velmar

Conservas Velmar is a third-generation family firm working out of a factory on Calle la Mar in Colindres, a few metres from the fishing port, where it salts and packs anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea by hand. Alongside its semi-conserva anchovies it cans other regional fish and shellfish, and runs a shop attached to a local asador where its tins sit next to Cantabrian sobaos and orujo.
