Alaeddin Konserveleri
Alaeddin Kemerli opened Turkey's first fish cannery at Gelibolu in 1928, and the plant still runs from the same site. Its Kızlı Marka, "Girl Brand," sardines, packed plain, in tomato sauce, or with olives from Aegean and Marmara catch, remain the house's best-known line, alongside anchovy, mackerel, tuna and tomato paste.
