Named for the great-grandfather who founded the original business in 1922, Ati Manel was revived decades later by Luís Mendonça, the artist behind José Gourmet's visual identity, after he found a cache of family archives including recipes, supplier notes, and old design tools. Produced at the 100 Mistérios factory in Lisbon, it occupies the mid-range position in the family of brands: where José Gourmet reaches for the premium shelf, Ati Manel reaches for the everyday obsessive.
