Le Comptoir Gastronomique

Le Comptoir Gastronomique is the online counter of Maison Rivière, the Castelnaudary house that has been making cassoulet since 1956, when Rivière père opened a butcher's and charcuterie on the market square and his son Michel built it out.

The shop grew from the Castelnaudary storefronts and now carries the wider South West, tinned and jarred cassoulet and confit alongside foie gras, preserves and the region's sweet goods. The family broth recipe behind the cassoulet has stayed in the house for three generations.
