Polvo em Molho de Alho Ati Manel

Octopus is Ati Manel's other Matosinhos tin, cut into bite-sized pieces and covered in a sauce built mostly on sunflower oil with just a whisper of garlic, lighter-handed than the assertive garlic-oil dressings octopus usually gets on its own. It echoes how Portuguese kitchens plate octopus at the table, doused in oil and garlic over crushed potatoes, just with sunflower standing in here for olive oil. Tip it, sauce and all, over a boiled potato.
